The importance of leveraging internal intellectual capital through effective integration of mentor-ship programs has been well established. New studies are being conducted that are demonstrating the benefits of structured learning strategies which leverage Informal Learning strategy.

With the advent of Social Media and its widespread impact upon the learning landscape, Informal Learning is experiencing a resurgence.
Social Media is making it easier to share knowledge and impart experiences to those willing to seek, learn and benefit from the this phenomena.

CARA Group has published one such study that highlights the values, presents the challenges, and offers insights into integration strategy.

KBI believes that an Infromal Learning strategy, blended within a Mentorship program will maximize internal intellectual capital and improve core competencies and maximize Returns on Investments of corporate learning initiatives.
